Two PRD officers transferred after error in Chief Minister's photo in Vizhinjam Port press release

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Two Public Relations Department (PRD) officials have been transferred following a serious error in a press release and poster related to Vizhinjam Port.

Sabu P R, Information Officer in the Press Release Section at the Secretariat, has been transferred to Kollam, while Web and Media Information Officer Pratheesh D Mani has been transferred to Delhi.

The action comes after a poster and press release related to Vizhinjam Port carried Opposition Leader Pinarayi Vijayan's photograph in place of the Chief Minister. The material was shared in an official group before the error came to light. However, the PRD said the transfers were made for administrative convenience.
