Unni Mukundan alerts Kerala Police to viral drug video; Two arrested in Perumbavoor

KOCHI: A viral video allegedly showing migrant youths injecting drugs in a public place in Perumbavoor prompted swift action from the Kerala Police after actor Unni Mukundan brought it to their attention. The Ernakulam Rural Police tracked down and arrested the individuals seen in the footage within hours.

The video was posted on an Instagram page named "Perumbavoor Stories" with the caption "Sundays in Perumbavoor." Unni Mukundan spotted the clip and tagged the official Kerala Police account. The police quickly responded with "Noted." Shortly after, the enforcement team arrested the youth seen in the video and even sent their photos to the actor to confirm the action.

Unni Mukundan shared the update with his fans on Instagram, writing, "Thank you, Kerala Police." The arrested individuals have been identified as Anamul Haque (29) from Morigaon, Assam, and Azarul Islam (21) from Nagaon, Assam. The operation was led by the Perumbavoor Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP).
