Hindu Aikya Vedi leader Shasikala has once again commented on the Mini Cooper accident case in Nedumbasser. She criticized the political parties and the chief minister via a Facebook post.
In her post, Shasikala questioned who had decided to keep bars open until midnight while restricting festivals to 10 pm. She also criticized those who allegedly promised to allow vehicle modifications after coming to power, asking who had won the applause and votes of not just Gen Z but also people from generations labelled Alpha, Beta and Gamma.
Shasikala questioned the purpose of modifying vehicles, suggesting that such modifications were used by youngsters to show off. She also alleged that modified vehicles were being rented out for lakhs for college celebrations on occasions such as Onam, New Year and farewell parties.
She further questioned who had penalized the Motor Vehicles Department (MVD) for taking action against modified vehicles.
According to Shasikala, youngsters are effectively being allowed to drink alcohol late in the night, engage in high-speed racing and even modify vehicles for the purpose. Those who speak against such practices, she said, are dismissed as having an outdated mindset.
Those who applauded and went with the flow are the very people now preaching in Nedumbassery, she remarked.
Some of her earlier Facebook posts immediately after the accident had drawn sharp criticism.
