Have you seen a tug-of-war this cute? Little ones go viral

Onam is a time for celebrations, with families and loved ones coming together to enjoy various competitions and festivities. Tug-of-war is one of the popular games associated with the season. Participants divide into two teams and line up on either side of a rope marked at the centre before battling it out to pull the opposing team across. But a tug-of-war involving a group of little children has caught attention on social media for a rather different reason.

The children can be seen taking part in the competition with innocent smiles on their faces. Even as they try their best to defeat the opposing team, their smiles never disappear. While some of the children appear to make calculated attempts to pull their opponents across, a few others can even be seen pulling the rope for the opposite team while standing with their own teammates.

The video has prompted plenty of amused comments on social media, with some saying it was the first time they had seen such a “cute” tug-of-war and joking about the “power of Amrutham powder”. Others expressed concern about the children possibly falling after getting caught up in the rope during the competition.

The video was shared on Instagram as part of the Onam celebrations at Cocoon Montessori School. The school has also shared videos of the children performing Thiruvathirakali and singing Onam songs. The tug-of-war video has received numerous likes on social media.
