
THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Hot weather continues in Kerala, although rainfall is expected to bring some relief in several parts of the state. Kottayam had recorded a temperature of 35 degrees Celsius in recent days, while several other districts also experienced temperatures above 34 degrees Celsius.
Isolated rainfall is expected in Malappuram, Kozhikode and Wayanad on Tuesday, where a yellow alert has been issued. A yellow alert has been issued for Idukki, Kozhikode, Wayanad and Kannur for Wednesday.
The India Meteorological Department has forecast isolated heavy rainfall in Kerala on September 15, 16, 19, 20 and 21. A possibility of sea incursion due to the Kallakkadal phenomenon has also been reported along parts of the Kerala coast.
