KOCHI: The KSRTC Budget Tourism Cell is offering Malayalis an opportunity to celebrate Onam in Hyderabad and Goa. Bookings have started for the Hyderabad "City of Pearls" special tour package, which lasts from three to five days, and the Goa package. Services are available from major depots in the state. The Hyderabad package costs 18,000 rupees, with slight variations depending on the distance of the depots. Conductors and drivers who know songs and dance will add colour to the journeys.
One-day trips that were hits in budget tourism are also active during the Onam season. KSRTC bus services will operate to centres such as Munnar, Vagamon, Kuttikkanam, Ramakkalmedu, Parunthumpara, and Gavi. Currently, Nalambalam journeys associated with the Ramayana month are progressing. For bookings, you can contact the coordinators at the depots.
The buses have 40 to 50 seats. Booking is done online, and insurance is also available. Schedules have been set from nine depots, with departures from Pathanamthitta (August 13), Pappanamcode (16), Kottarakkara (18), Kollam (19), Pathanapuram (19), Chengannur (22), Malappuram (25), Ernakulam (28), and Neyyattinkara (31).
The Goa trips introduced during the previous vacation season were successful. The rate is 10,000 rupees. An AC bus, 4-bed sharing accommodation, food, and travel are included in the package. Nine Goa trips are mentioned for next month, with departure details supplied for Mavelikkara (29), Payyanur (August 14), Ernakulam (21), Vikas Bhavan (22), Pathanamthitta (23), Kanhangad (26), Nilambur (27), and Payyanur (28).
