NEW DELHI: A woman's retaliation against her colleague for rejecting her marriage proposal has ended up in personal revenge and cyber deception. In the incident, the police have arrested Rene Joshilda, a senior consultant in a private company in Chennai. The woman, who was deeply in love with Divij Prabhakar, demanded marriage, but he was not interested in it. Then she tried to trap Divij by sending fake messages under his name.
To take revenge on Divij, Rene Joshilda sent 21 fake bomb threat messages citing locations in 12 states. Rene was arrested by the Ahmedabad Cyber Police. The police found that Joshilda sent 13 threat emails to Narendra Modi Stadium, 4 to Geneva Liberal School, 3 to Divya Jyoti School and one to BJ Medical College. All emails were sent from fake email IDs.
In February, Divij Prabhakar married another girl. Then, Rene Joshilda created several fake email IDs in Divij's name and used these IDs to send bomb threats, said Joint Commissioner of Police Sharat Singhal. The threatening messages were faked as coming from countries like Germany and Romania.
