KOCHI: BJP leader Shone George said Former Chief Minister and Opposition Leader Pinarayi Vijayan, along with his daughter Veena Vijayan, will be arrested in connection with the monthly payment case soon. Shone, also the petitioner in the case, said that he still has the list of beneficiaries, including political leaders, and said that he has approached the court to get that list released. Shone clarified that many people whom the general public considers to be respectable are on that list. He was speaking to the media in Kochi.

“The moves taken by ED in the monthly payment case follow the intervention of the High Court. Veena Vijayan is the third accused in the case. The chargesheet filed by the Serious Fraud Investigation Office clearly states that Veena's company received the money in violation of company rules and without providing any service. The crime should be investigated under the Prevention of Money Laundering Act.

Anybody committing a crime will live in fear in the land now ruled by Narendra Modi. The ED has questioned and arrested the Chief Ministers of other states. The Chief Minister's post is not a hindrance to the ED. Then there is Pinarayi Vijayan, who is in the opposition. If they have committed a crime, financial irregularities, or taken bribes, the CPM are in real trouble. They will understand this in the coming days,” said Shone George.
