'Kerala not a separate country'; BJP state chief K Surendran against IAS Vasuki's 'foreign secretary' appointment

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: BJP state president K Surendran denounced the appointment of K Vasuki IAS as Kerala’s ‘foreign secretary’ which he termed unconstitutional. Surendran also warned the state government's move to intervene in the country's external affairs, which he said will invite serious repercussions.

“ Pinarayi Vijayan should not act as if Kerala is a separate country. The Kerala Chief Minister has already been accused of smuggling gold through the UAE consulate and collecting funds abroad. Violations of the protocol by the Chief Minister, Ministers and Speaker are still being investigated by agencies.

The Chief Minister should be ready to immediately revoke the appointment of the Foreign Secretary, which is against the integrity of India. Amidst the economic crisis, such unwanted appointments will only aggravate the current situation. “ said Surendran.
