KOTTAYAM: Baselios Marthoma Mathews III, the head of Malankara Orthodox Church, said that it is up to the people of Kerala to decide whether they want a change in government or continuity. He was speaking to the media after casting his vote at a polling booth set up at the Muttambalam Municipal Library.
On a question related to the Foreign Contribution Regulation Act (FCRA), he said that the public has a good understanding of the issue. When asked about two church members contesting in Aranmula, he responded that he would be happy no matter who wins there.
"People are the real kings in an election. Candidates are humble servants. The people will make the final decision," he said.
