Stray dog attack: Twin LKG students injured, admitted to hospital

ADOOR: Twin LKG students were attacked by a stray dog while returning home after their tuition class. Two others who were at the scene were also injured in the attack. The children, who sustained serious injuries, have been admitted to Kottayam Medical College Hospital.

The injured twins, Vivek and Viveki from Thenguvila in Paranthal, suffered bite wounds on their faces and hands. The incident took place around 5 pm yesterday, shortly after they came out of a tuition centre in Kodumon.

Two others, Suja and Shiju, were also bitten in the attack. Suja suffered injuries to her left hand, while Shiju was bitten on the face. Witnesses said the dog held onto Suja’s hand during the attack. Locals later beat the stray dog to death.
