VD Satheesan swearing-in ceremony: Traffic restrictions in capital city on May 18th, know more details

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Traffic arrangements have been made in the city of Thiruvananthapuram from 7 am on May 18th, in view of the swearing-in ceremony of the new government. The ceremony will be held at the Central Stadium at 10 am. Extensive parking areas will be arranged. Vehicles should be parked in the designated parking areas.

The police announced that vehicles parked illegally and in a manner that obstructs traffic will be towed. The police also advised passengers coming to the airport and railway station to make travel arrangements in advance. Vehicles going via Statue from Peroorkada and Sasthamangalam areas should take the Vellayambalam-Vazhuthakkad-Women's Junction-Thycaud route.

Vehicles going via Statue from PMG side should take the GV Raja-LMS-Museum-Manaveeyam Road-Althara Vazhuthacaud-Women's College Junction-Thycaud route.

Vehicles going via the Statue from the Over Bridge side should take the flyover. Over Bridge-Thampanoor-Model School-Panavila-Bakery

  • Vehicles of MLAs/MPs coming to attend the oath-taking ceremony should be parked inside the Secretariat via RBI-Bakery Junction-Vanross-Jacobs Junction-Gate-4.
  • Vehicles of officials, police and media coming to the oath-taking ceremony should be dropped off at Gate-4 via RBI-Bakery Junction-Vanross-Jacobs Junction and then parked at Sanskrit College Ground, University Campus and University College.
  • Activists and the general public coming in vehicles to attend the oath-taking ceremony should drop off their vehicles at Gate 2, Pulimoodu Ayurveda College Junction and Model School Junction and proceed to the parking lots.
  • Large vehicles bringing activists to attend the oath-taking ceremony should park at Attukal Parking Ground, Airanimuttam Homeo Research Centre Ground, Poojappura Ground, on both sides of Chackai-Lord's Bypass Road, Kuzhivila-Akkulam Road and on both sides of Kaimanam-Pappanamcode Road.
