Youth ends life in Alappuzha after wife refuses money for liquor

ALAPPUZHA: A youth committed suicide after his wife refused him money for consuming alcohol. The incident happened Tuesday morning at Kommady in Alappuzha. The dead is Santhosh, an employee of a coir factory. He committed suicide by pouring petrol onto himself and setting himself ablaze. Santhosh, who came home drunk, had a verbal dispute with his wife and soon he set himself on fire. He took the extreme step after his wife refused money for alcohol. Although the locals tried to take him to the hospital, he had lost his life before reaching the hospital.
