THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: BJP state general secretary P. Sudheer alleged the Kerala state government is deliberately obstructing the effective implementation of central schemes due to a political vendetta. Addressing a press conference after the BJP core committee meeting, he stated that the party would take responsibility for ensuring the proper implementation of these schemes in the state.

"The central government has introduced hundreds of beneficial schemes, but their advantages are not reaching the deserving people in Kerala due to the state government’s political hostility. To counter this, the BJP will strengthen grassroots-level awareness campaigns and actively involve beneficiaries," Sudheer said.

As part of this initiative, the party has decided to set up help desks in 30 district committee offices by April 15. BJP secretary S. Suresh was also present at the press conference. However, newly appointed state president Rajeev Chandrasekhar did not attend, as he left for Delhi after the core committee meeting.

Posters were not put up by BJP workers: P. Sudheer
Reacting to posters put up against former BJP Thiruvananthapuram district president V.V. Rajesh near the state BJP office, P. Sudheer claimed that outsiders were responsible for the act. "This is part of a conspiracy to weaken the party. No BJP workers are involved in this. A complaint has been filed, and an investigation is underway to identify those responsible," he said.

‘Empuraan’ film: BJP bans public criticism
The BJP leadership has instructed party members not to engage in public campaigns against the movie ‘Empuraan’, stating that the party has no issues with any film. "Cinema will take its own course, and BJP has no problem with any movie," clarified P. Sudheer and S. Suresh.

They also emphasized that any opinions shared on social media by party functionaries regarding ‘Empuraan’ are purely personal and do not reflect the party’s official stance.
