NEWYORK: SpaceX's Starship, the most powerful and biggest rocket in the world conducted its test launch experiencing partial success but exploded midway in the air. The rocket plans to send astronauts to the moon, mars, and many more.
The rocket was launched from the Texas star base launching center at 7:03 am IST. After four minutes, the rocket bombed to shreds above the Mexican sea. Just three minutes from launching, the booster rocket inside the main failed to disintegrate from the starship. Albeit the blast, SpaceX termed the launch a victory.
"With a test like this, success comes from what we learn, and today's test will help us improve Starship's reliability as SpaceX seeks to make life multi-planetary," SpaceX tweeted.
SpaceX conducted a successful test-firing of the 33 massive Raptor engines on the first-stage booster in February but the Starship spacecraft and the Super Heavy rocket were being flown together for the first time.
