Celebrities among those stranded in Chennai floods; actors Aamir Khan and Vishnu Vishal rescued

CHENNAI: Following Cyclone Michaung, Chennai city experienced severe flooding and devastation that affected both the general public and several celebrities. Bollywood star Aamir Khan and Tamil film star Vishnu Vijay were among those who were stranded in the Chennai floods. Both of them have been rescued by the disaster management team. It was Vishnu Vishal himself who informed this through his social media pages. The actor, who shared the pictures on social media, also thanked the disaster relief forces.

The disaster management team rescued Vishnu Vishal and his wife and Indian Badminton player Jwala Gutta from their house in Karambakkam in Chennai. Bollywood star Aamir Khan was also rescued from a nearby location. In his social media post, Vishnu Vishal said that the Tamilnadu government was doing a great job at such a testing time. He also thanked those who were constantly doing rescue work.

Meanwhile, Indian cricketer Ravichandran Ashwin said that he was at home and there had been no electricity in his house for the last 30 hours. The other day, Ashwin had posted a note urging everyone to remain safe.

With the flood subsiding, the operation of suburban trains has resumed in Chennai. The Air Force is also taking part in the rescue mission. Food is being distributed using the Chetak helicopter. Meanwhile, the Cyclone Michaung has made landfall in Andhra Pradesh.
