THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The central meteorological department has informed that some districts may get relief amidst the scorching heat in the state. Thiruvananthapuram, Kollam, Pathanamthitta, Alappuzha, Kottayam, Ernakulam, Idukki, Thrissur and Palakkad are likely to receive rain.
The central meteorological department has informed that there is a possibility of rain in Thiruvananthapuram and Kollam tomorrow and Saturday in Thiruvananthapuram, Kollam, Pathanamthitta, Alappuzha, Kottayam, Ernakulam and Idukki.
Meantime, the central meteorological department has informed that there will be no disruption for fishing in Kerala, Karnataka and Lakshadweep coasts today. All districts in the state are experiencing extreme heat. There is a shortage for drinking water in many places. Till next Sunday, Kollam and Palakkad districts will see temperature up to 39 degrees Celsius. The temperature in Thrissur is likely to rise to 38 degrees Celsius, Pathanamthitta and Kannur to 37 degrees Celsius and Kottayam, Kozhikode, Malappuram and Kasaragod to 36 degrees Celsius.
