Passenger injured as tyre burst causes moving Priyadarshini Bus platform to collapse 

KASARGOD: A passenger suffered injuries after the platform of a moving KSRTC Priyadarshini bus collapsed in Nileswaram. The injured woman has been identified as Kunjaayisha (39), daughter of Muhammed Kunhi, a fisherman near the Azhithala boat jetty in Nileswaram. Reports say that she suffered a fracture to the bone in her left leg.

The accident happened the other day when the bus was heading towards Kanhangad from Payyanur. When the bus crossed Aingoth in Padannakkad, its rear tyre burst with a loud sound and the impact caused the platform to collapse.

Kunjaayisha was seated above the rear tyre of the bus at that time. Her leg got stuck in the collapsed platform. The employees of the bus immediately took her to the hospital.
The Kanhangad police have registered a case and an investigation has started.
