NEW DELHI: Vistara Airlines on Tuesday morning cancelled as many as 38 flights originating from major cities in the country due to the non-availability of pilots. 15 flights taking off from Mumbai, 12 flights from Delhi and 11 from Bengaluru have been cancelled.

Over the last few days, Vistara Airlines has been cancelling many of its flights due to various reasons, including the non-availability of employees. The airline spokesperson said in a recent statement that the ongoing crisis is likely to continue for a few more days. More than 50 Vistara flights were cancelled and 160 flights were delayed yesterday alone.

"Due to some technical difficulties, we have decided to temporarily reduce the number of flights we operate. Apologies to passengers for the inconvenience," Vistara Airlines said in the statement.

Vistara also informed that its team is working hard to resolve the inconvenience caused to the customers. However, it did not give any details about how many flights would be cancelled.

Vistara has advised the passengers to check the flight status with the airline before leaving for the airport to avoid long waits and inconvenience. It added that everything will be restored soon. It is reported that the revised pay structure was the reason why pilots are refusing to work.
