Major allocations for hospitals, educational institutions; SN Trust unveils Rs 166.56 crore budget

SN Trust Secretary Vellappally Natesan and Trust Chairman Dr. M.N. Soman jointly light the ceremonial lamp to inaugurate the SN Trust annual general meeting held at the Cherthala Sree Narayana College auditorium.

CHERTHALA: The S.N. Trust has approved an annual budget of Rs 166,55,84,000 for 2026–27. The budget was approved at the 73rd annual general meeting held at the auditorium of S.N. College, Cherthala.
An allocation of ₹50 crore has been made for the development of hospitals, while ₹14 crore has been earmarked for the construction and repair of buildings at aided schools. Another ₹9.5 crore has been allocated for the construction of buildings at aided colleges.


The budget also provides ₹11 crore for setting up advanced facilities at hospitals and ₹1.5 crore for self-financing arts and science colleges and Central Schools. An allocation of ₹1 crore each has been made for the construction of a new building at Murukummala in Vagamon and for NAAC accreditation.

Chairman Dr M.N. Soman presided over the meeting. Secretary Vellappally Natesan presented the annual report and budget.

Assistant Secretary Tushar Vellappally, Treasurer Dr G. Jayadevan and executive members Santhosh Arayakkandi, Mohan Shankar, D. Premraj, P. Sundaran, K. Padmakumar, A. Somarajan, K. Ashokappanicker, Sangeetha Viswanathan, Gopinathan Palakkad, Dr A.V. Anandraj and P.V. Binesh Plathanath, among others, spoke.
