THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The Supreme Court on Thursday rejected the anticipatory bail of all accused in the Thiruvananthapuram flat fraud case. The Supreme Court also ordered Samson & Sons Builders owner Jacob Samson and other accused to surrender within 15 days. SC also instructed the accused to apply for bail in the trial court.

As of now, there are almost 120 pending cases against Jacob Samson. Anticipatory bail was rejected in a case filed by Sajad Karim, a resident of Pettah. Actor Dhanya Mary Varghese's husband and Jacob Samson's son John Jacob are accused in the case.

All the accused including actor Dhanya Mary earlier received bail in the case. Senior advocate Jayant Muthuraj and advocate Manu Srinath appeared for Jacob Samson, advocate M Girish Kumar for the complainant Sajad Karim and standing counsel Nishe Rajan Shonkar for the state.

Dhanya Mary Varghese, John, his brother Samuel and Jacob Samson were detained by the police in 2016 in the fraud case. John is a director of Samson & Sons Builders. Dhanya Mary Varghese is the head of the marketing department of the company. Many complaints were received against them in Cantonment and Peroorkada police station limits. The group took almost Rs 130 crore from buyers with the promise of delivering almost 500 apartments in various locations in Thiruvananthapuram but failed to keep the promise.
