KANNUR: A train passenger threatened a Travelling Ticket Examiner (TTE) with a scissor for asking ticket. He later fled to safety. The incident happened on the Kannur-Yashwantpur Express (16528) the other day at around 6 pm. When Musthafa, the TTE asked the ticket from the passenger sitting in the reserve coach of the train that left Kannur, he threatened him showing the scissors.

When the TTE asked for the ticket, he did not show the ticket and instead spoke rudely. He then got up from the seat and left. The passenger reached the side of the toilet and took the scissors from the bag. The train had reached Thalassery by then. The passenger fled before the police arrived. Musthafa told police that the passenger spoke in Malayalam.
