ANKOLA: A crucial finding has been made in the search for lorry driver Arjun, who went missing in the landslide that took place in Shirur in Karnataka. The Navy's sonar has detected a strong signal from the exact location from where a radar signal was earlier received indicating the presence of a large object in the Gangavali River. Army says that this large object could be either Arjun's lorry or a big mobile tower. The crucial signal was received at around 5 pm today.

On Tuesday, the team was unable to conduct a search in this part of the river due to the strong current. The Navy stated that it would carry out a search in the area tomorrow to find the large object lying in the river. A search will be carried out at the bottom of the river using a state-of-the-art device which combines radio frequency and AI. The scuba divers of the army will reach the spot. The Center has given security permission for this. Retired Major General MM Indrabalan and his team would also arrive at the spot on Wednesday morning.
