MALAPPURAM: PV Anvar MLA mocked the Chief Minister saying that he is speaking like a mentally insane person. The chief minister reiterated that Anvar was upset over the seizure of gold smuggling and hawala money. "The police cannot investigate who sent the gold from abroad. Only customs have the power to do that. No gold case caught by the police can be punished. If I say this, it will be said that Anvar is helping the gold smugglers. Time to convince him of things is over," Anvar said.
I'm sticking to what I've said so far. Let the cases happen...we'll see. I'll talk back if they try to attack me verbally. The CPM leadership is making me say things out loud. I'm not afraid because I'm not self-interested. I'm pretty sure of what's going to happen in the future. Let the people evaluate the public meeting in Nilambur. No one had asked the party people to come to the explanation meeting. I don't intend to get anyone out and put them in trouble. If I decide, the LDF will lose power in 25 panchayats in Malappuram. Not only in Malappuram, maybe in Kozhikode and Palakkad too. Let the leadership decide whether to go to that extend or not.
I have not said that I will not form a political party. Everything was understood when I said if people become a party, I will be in front of it. A lot of people are reacting to the issue. TP Ramakrishnan said that people's presence at Anvar's public meeting was only temporary. Let him sleep in that peace. If I do not have a chair in the assembly, I will sit on the floor."
