THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Former MLA KS Sabarinadhan has come down heavily on P Sarin, who quit Congress revolting after Rahul Mamkootathil was announced as the UDF candidate in Palakkad. Sabarinathan said that politics is not a career in which one can jump to the other side if one does not get a posting in a place of one's choice or if one does not get the desired salary. Sabarinathan made the criticism in a Facebook post.
"The main reason I got close to you was because I believed you were different. But when I saw the commotion of the last two days, especially today, I felt sorry for you. Politics is not a career in which one can jump to the other side if one does not get a posting in a place of one's choice or if one does not get the desired salary. Politics is service, it is tolerance. You will soon realize it- Sabarinathan wrote.
Opposition leader VD Satheesan had also come out against Sarin. "Sarin approached CPM when he saw that he cannot become a Congress candidate. They took a positive stand on it." Satheesan alleged that Sarin is repeating the same things that CPM MLAs and ministers said about him. "The candidates were decided as per the system in the Congress. The decision was taken jointly by KPCC president, Ramesh Chennithala and me. All senior leaders were consulted. Sarin is interested in being a candidate. How can we field a candidate who is in consultation with the CPM?" asked VD Satheesan.
