Devananda is a child artiste, who earned fame through the mega hit Malikappuram. She won the hearts of the audience through the film. She played the character of Kallu in Malikappuram. The film tells the story of Kallu's desire to see Lord Ayyappa and then her adventure to reach Sabarimala.

She had earlier said that she first went to Sabarimala to act in Malikappuram and climbed the mountains after observing fast and saw Lord Ayyappa. After the release of the film, many people consider her as part of their own family.

Many people come to see Devananda when she arrives to participate in inaugurations and other events. A video of the young artiste is presently going viral on social media. Devananda is walking after an event. At this time, an elderly man is seen coming forward and touching her feet in the video.

The video quickly became a topic of discussion on social media. Some commented that he saw her not as a child artiste but as Malikappuram and that is why he touched her feet. However, others criticized for the act. Many people mocked that Kerala is a literate state.

Devananda made her screen debut with the film Thottappan in 2019. She acted in this film when she was three and a half years old. She then acted in films like My Santa with Dileep, 2018, Neymar, and 'Gu', starring Dileep.
