PRAYAGRAJ: This year’s Maha Kumbh Mela has witnessed several unique events, one of which is the rise of Monalisa, a street vendor, as a social media sensation. She has gained a massive following both within India and internationally.

Following Monalisa's rise to fame, some reports claimed that she earned Rs 10 crore within ten days. Social media speculated that she amassed such wealth by selling pearl garlands and rudraksha beads.

However, Monalisa has dismissed these claims. "If I had made so much money, why would I still be living here? Why would I continue selling garlands?" she questioned.

Many believe that Monalisa’s sudden fame may have boosted her business, but in reality, it has become a challenge for her family. Her father stated that the unexpected popularity has negatively impacted their business, as people now approach Monalisa more for selfies than to buy her products.

Due to the decline in sales, Monalisa revealed that she had to borrow Rs 35,000 to make ends meet. She also mentioned that she fell ill after returning from the Kumbh Mela. Additionally, she expressed interest in acting in films if her family agreed.
