BENGALURU: Multinational company Infosys is in the headlines again. According to the latest reports, the famous MNC has dismissed over 400 out of 700 trainees. The company made this crucial decision after conducting three tests. The trainees were selected for the Infosys Mysore campus in October 2024. Nearly 50 per cent of trainees failed to pass the test that was conducted by the company after giving the training. They were eliminated after giving chances in three stages. After 2.5 years, Infosys has selected trainees.

" We follow a strict selection process here. We conducted an internal assessment after giving necessary training and trainees were given three chances to pass. Those who failed to pass are not eligible to continue in our organisation according to our contract"- the company justified. Trainees who didn't manage to pass the test were divided into groups of 50 and were asked to sign the separation document. They are not allowed to enter the campus after Friday, 6 pm.

The news came as a surprise to the trainees as a few of them fainted hearing about the dismissal. Those working as system engineers, and digital specialist engineers are the ones who lost their jobs. The IT employees union has raised its voice on the incident and stated that they will file a complaint to the Union Ministry of Labour.
