Tamil production giant ‘Lyca Productions’ pulled out of the big-budget Malayalam film ‘Empuraan’ amidst last minute mix-up. The film slated for release on March 27th was produced by Aashirvad Cinemas and Subhaskaran's Lyca.
It is reported that Gokulam Gopalan's Sree Gokulam Movies will acquire Lyca's share. There are also concerns about the possibility of the release of the movie getting delayed again. For the past few days, reports circulated about Lyca Productions withdrawing from the film 'L2 Empuraan'. There were also rumours of Aashirvad Cinemas, led by Antony Perumbavoor, working on ways to release the film in theaters without the support of Lyca. The official confirmation is expected to be released by Saturday evening.
Amidst the imbroglio, Prithviraj released another poster from the movie the other day. However, the actor-director was tight-lipped about the whole ambiguous situation related to the movie's release.
