WASHINGTON: Veteran NASA astronaut Sunita Williams, stranded in space for nine months is all set to return to Mother Earth. The return of Sunita and her companion Butch Wilmore will prove to be a feather in the cap for human advancement in science and technology. The duo will travel back to Earth with Nick Hague (NASA) and Alexander Gorbunov (Russia).

SpaceX's Crew Dragon Freedom spacecraft will separate from the space station at 10:35 am Indian time on Tuesday morning and begin its journey back to Earth. The spacecraft will gently touch down the Florida coast at 3:27 am IST on Wednesday. That would be 5:57 pm Tuesday in Florida. As the temperature of the spacecraft's shield cools, it will be transferred to SpaceX's MV Megan recovery ship.

With Sunita coming to breathe the fresh air again, the space mission that kept the world at a standstill will reach an auspicious end. Since factors including weather are crucial, there is a possibility of changes to the travel schedule.

Challenges waiting for astronauts on their return to Earth:

# Muscles will become weak

# Balance will be disturbed

# Blood flow will be disturbed

# Immune system will be weakened

# Dizziness, vomiting, fever

# Other physical difficulties

# Monitoring and care are essential

Sunita's nine-month salary for being part of the daring experiment is between ₹82 lakh and ₹1.06 crore
