Differently-abled man lured to hotel room in Kochi; brutally assaulted for refusing to engage in sexual activity

KOCHI: A differently-abled man was allegedly lured to a hotel room and brutally assaulted by a woman and her accomplices. According to the FIR, he was severely beaten after he refused to engage in sexual activity with the woman. The assault reportedly left the youth with a fractured rib. The victim is a differently-abled man from Kollam, and police suspect the attack happened during an attempt to trap him in a honey trap. The incident took place around 6.30 p.m. on February 22.

The man was called to a hotel near Kadavanthra Junction. Police said that a woman identified as Safna and her associates forced him to engage in sexual activity, and when he refused, they brutally assaulted him. The complaint states that the victim was stripped and repeatedly hit on the face. It is also alleged that the second accused struck his palm with a torch. The victim reportedly suffered a severe assault that could have even led to death. Police have registered a case and arrested the second and third accused. The first accused, Safna, is currently absconding.
