PATHANAMTHITTA: People of Pathanamthitta town had embarrassing moments when an Iranian woman reached here the other day.
The incident happened on Monday noon at around 12. Dressed in jeans and top and carrying luggage, she could be seen waving down private vehicles near Pathanamthitta KSRTC junction.

Locals who spotted her informed the police immediately and the Pink police arrived soon after that. Once the women police started questioning her, the people started crowding around them.

The foreign national was then taken to Pathanamthitta General hospital. She was allowed to go with a facemask after the doctors confirmed that she was not infected.

The woman is a 37-yr-old nurse working in Iran, which is one of the Coronavirus-affected countries. She had reached Mumbai on February 25. Later she travelled to Thiruvananthapuram and from there to Pathanamthitta, taking lift from private vehicles. Her idea was to go to Munnar from here.

The Iranian woman told the police that she used to tour foreign countries for entertainment.
