HARIPAD: The low-floor AC bus carrying the medical team from Thiruvananthapuram to Kasargod for COVID-19 defense operations, broke down and their trip was disrupted for about an hour. The incident happened Sunday morning at Haripad. The bus stopped at Haripad for the team including doctors to freshen up. The fault was noticed when they started the bus to continue their journey. The team containing 25 people started their journey after changing the damaged battery.
The team started their journey to Kasargod Sunday morning related to the treatment of COVID-19. The team led by Thiruvananthapuram medical college deputy superintendent S Santhosh Kumar contains ten doctors, ten nurses and five nursing assistants. They will erect a temporary hospital and start functioning.
