Kerala logs 4650 COVID-19 cases on Saturday, 13 deaths

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The state confirmed 4650 COVID-19 cases on Saturday, Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan said. Among these, 4253 persons developed the disease through contact including 295 cases without an identified source of infection. 76 persons who came from outside the state tested positive for the virus. 26 health workers contracted the disease on Friday.

5841 patients tested negative for the virus today. As of now, there are 58,606 active cases in the state.

The state confirmed 13 deaths due to the virus on Saturday with the toll rising to 4074.

In the last 24 hours, 65,968 samples have been tested. The test positivity rate stands at 7.05.

With the addition of three new regions and the removal of 8, there are 366 hotspots in the state.
