ALAPPUZHA: The Kerala State Road Transport Corporation (KSRTC) will launch its new Executive Class bus service on the Alappuzha-Bengaluru route from Sunday, offering passengers a premium travel experience akin to the Vande Bharat Express.
The new bus will come equipped with facilities including a toilet, pantry and cafeteria. K.C. Venugopal MP will inaugurate the service at a function in Alappuzha at 5.30 pm on Sunday. Initially, the service will operate on alternate days.
The bus will leave Alappuzha at 5.30 pm and travel via Vyttila, Thrissur Mannuthy Bypass, Palakkad Chandranagar, Coimbatore L&T Bypass and Salem before reaching Bengaluru at 5.55 am the next day. On its return journey, the bus will leave Bengaluru at 8 pm and follow the same route, reaching Alappuzha at 8 am the following day.
Designed to make long-distance travel more comfortable, the Executive Class bus features semi-sleeper seats, air suspension and an onboard toilet. The seating arrangement has two seats in each row, while individual entertainment screens have also been provided behind the seats. Passengers will also have access to mobile charging points, bottle holders and luggage racks. The bus will offer tea and other refreshments during the journey, along with pantry facilities.
With these premium features, KSRTC aims to make long-distance bus travel more comfortable and convenient. Online booking for the new Executive Class service has already begun. Passengers can reserve tickets through the KSRTC Swift online booking platform or via WhatsApp at 9447071021. Passengers can select their route, date, service and seat before making the payment online. Once the booking is completed, the e-ticket and PNR details will be sent directly through WhatsApp.
