Kerala logs 15,637 COVID-19 cases on Wednesday, 128 deaths

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The state confirmed 15,637 COVID-19 cases on Wednesday. Among these, 14,717 persons developed the disease through contact, including 797 cases without an identified source of infection. 57 persons, who came from outside the state, tested positive for the virus. 66 health workers contracted the disease on Wednesday.

12,974 patients tested negative for the virus today. As of now, there are 1,17,708 active cases in the state.

The state confirmed 128 deaths due to the virus on Wednesday with the toll rising to 14,938.

Malappuram 2030, Kozhikode 2022, Ernakulam 1894, Thrissur 1704, Kollam 1154, Thiruvananthapuram 1133, Palakkad 1111, Alappuzha 930, Kannur 912, Kottayam 804, Kasaragod 738, Pathanamthitta 449, Wayanad 433, Idukki 323.

1,55,882 samples were tested in the last 24 hours. The test positivity rate stands at 10.03.
