Ajit Doval reveals PM Modi's first question after Pahalgam terror attack

NEW DELHI: National Security Adviser Ajit Doval has revealed the first question that Prime Minister Narendra Modi asked after the Pahalgam terror attack that shocked the nation. According to Doval, the Prime Minister's first question was about who was behind the attack. Doval made the revelation in a documentary on Operation Sindoor, the military action carried out by India in the wake of the terror attack. This is Doval's first interview since Operation Sindoor.

Prime Minister Modi was on an official visit to Saudi Arabia when the attack took place. Upon learning about the attack, Modi cut short his visit and returned to India. Soon after arriving, the Prime Minister held an emergency meeting in the presence of the Foreign Secretary.

Doval said Modi's first priority was to learn all the facts related to the attack. “The first question the Prime Minister asked me was, ‘Who did this?’ Who is responsible for this? There must be clarity on who the perpetrators are. He wanted to know immediately,” Doval said.

Doval also said that Operation Sindoor sent a strong message to the world that India's generosity or tolerance should not be seen as a sign of weakness. India is capable of delivering a strong response without worrying about the consequences, he said in the interview.
