KANNUR: Senior Congress leader Mambaram Divakaran has been expelled from the party. It was KPCC general secretary TU Radhakrishnan who announced this. He said that Divakaran was expelled for violating the party discipline. The party leadership decided to expel Divakaran after he announced that he will contest in the Thalassery Indira Gandhi Co-operative Hospital Society election by presenting his own panel against the party's official panel.
Recently, when KPCC president K Sudhakaran was embroiled in a controversy with the Chief Minister over the Brennan College issue, Mambaram Divakaran had corrected the KPCC president.
