CM accepts Revenue minister's demand, K Biju to continue as Land Revenue Commissioner

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Chief Minister has accepted the request of Revenue minister K Rajan to allow Land Revenue Commissioner Dr K Biju to continue in the post until the completion of important projects undertaken. An order has been issued in this regard. Dr K Vasuki who was appointed as Land Revenue Commissioner last week, has been replaced as Labour commissioner.

Vasuki, who had returned from leave, was appointed as Land Revenue Commissioner by turning it into ex-cadre post. Along with this, she was given additional charge of Disaster Management Commissioner and National Cyclone Risk Mitigation Project State Manager.

Minister Rajan came to know about the change in the important post under the Revenue department after the order was issued. The Revenue Minister had told the CM that when a new person takes charge, it will take time to learn about the projects and the completion of the project will be delayed again. Following this, a new order was issued after making a change.

After being promoted, K Biju was appointed as secretary of the Ports Department last week. The Land Revenue Commissioner post is his additional charge. The additional charges given to Vasuki has also been given to K Biju.
