Bride collapses and dies during garland exchange function

LUCKNOW: A 20-year-old bride collapsed and died during the garland exchange function. The incident happened at Bhadwana village of Malihabad in Uttar Pradesh’s Lucknow. Initial reports said she died following cardiac arrest. Meantime, police said that an investigation will be conducted.

The police came to know about the incident through social media. Malihabad Station House Officer Subhas Chandra Saroj said that a team was sent to the village for enquiry.

As per information, the marriage of Shivangi, daughter of Rajpal of Bhadwana village was fixed with Vivek.

Sivangi, who collapsed on stage was rushed to the community health centre and from there she was referred to the Trauma Centre but died on the way.
