MUMBAI: MBBS student Sejal Pawar has been suspended for making controversial remarks about male corpses during a show hosted by stand-up comedian and YouTuber PranIt More. The college authorities asked Sejal to go on compulsory leave for 15 days. Sejal Pawar was a third-year MBBS student at Mumbai's KEM Medical College.

The college started an investigation into the incident and clarified that they are taking the remarks of Sejal Pawar, a student of their college, very seriously, and further action will be taken after receiving the investigation report. There was widespread criticism after Sejal Pawar's remarks, which were deemed an insult to the college and the medical profession. The Maharashtra Cyber Police registered a case against Sejal in the incident.

While in the show, Sejal admitted that she, along with her friends, used to compare the size of male genitals of cadavers and even pass joke on them. After the incident became controversial, Sejal apologised on social media. "I do not justify what I said. I take responsibility for the comment. The comment was interpreted differently from what I said," the doctor said in an Instagram post.

The cyber police registered a case against Himanshu Jangra, a native of Gurugram, and stand-up comedian Pranit More for making misogynistic remarks on the same comedy show.
