Malayali youth dies in Oman while sleeping in truck with heater on

KOZHIKODE: A young Malayali man died tragically in Fujairah, Oman. The deceased has been identified as Ansar (28) from Vallikattu, Vadakara, Kozhikode. Ansar, who had slept inside a heavy truck using a heater to stay warm, died of suffocation. The incident took place in Masafi, Fujairah.

His body was found inside the truck on Friday morning. Preliminary reports suggest that he died after inhaling smoke from the heater used for warmth. Fujairah police have registered a case and launched an investigation. Ansar’s body is currently kept at Masafi mortuary, and arrangements are underway to complete formalities and bring it back home.
