LOS ANGELES: On the Axios Show, US President Donald Trump was asked by the interviewer to pick two world leaders whom he considers the greatest. Before Trump could answer, the interviewer himself offered the name of President Xi of China, which Trump acknowledged.
Donald Trump heaped praise on Xi, calling him a leader of stature and someone who exudes confidence. However, Trump’s second choice caught many by surprise.
“Well, I think it's Modi. He is a leader of 1.5 billion people, and he is a smart guy who avoids indulging in war. I have seen India throughout the years. Earlier, they used to change leaders every six months or five years. Now, Modi has been the ruler of India for the past 12 years. He is a great leader. We do many businesses, and now more of a fair business. Modi and Xi are classics. If we try to make a movie about them, even Hollywood would not be able to find an actor to play them on screen.
Xi is 6’2 in height and has great stature and confidence. Modi is different. PM Modi is highly respected, but I know the real Modi. He is a tough cookie."
