DALLAS: England defeated Croatia 4-2 in a World Cup match held last night. The teams were level at 2-2 at the end of the first half. However, England scored two more goals in the second half to secure the victory. Captain Harry Kane scored twice for England, while Jude Bellingham and Marcus Rashford scored one goal each. Martin Baturina and Petar Musa scored for Croatia.

In another match, Ghana defeated Panama by a single goal. Caleb Yirenkyi scored the winning goal for the African team in the fifth minute of injury time. Colombia also began their World Cup campaign with a 3-1 win over debutants Uzbekistan. Fayzullaev scored Uzbekistan’s first-ever World Cup goal.
