NEW CHANDIGARH: Sunrisers Hyderabad crashed out of the IPL after suffering a 47-run defeat against Rajasthan Royals in the Eliminator match. Chasing a huge target of 244, Hyderabad were bowled out for 196 in 19.2 overs. With this win, Rajasthan Royals have advanced to Qualifier 2, where they will face Gujarat Titans.

Despite scoring at a strong run rate, Hyderabad failed to build big partnerships. Ishan Kishan gave the team a flying start with 33 off just 10 balls, but wickets kept falling at regular intervals. Travis Head scored 17, while Heinrich Klaasen managed 18.

A brief fightback from Salil Arora (35) and Nitish Kumar Reddy (38) raised hopes, but Hyderabad lost momentum again after Nitish was dismissed. Jofra Archer starred with the ball for Rajasthan, taking three wickets.

Earlier, Rajasthan Royals posted a massive 243/8 in 20 overs, powered by a sensational innings from 15-year-old Vaibhav Sooryavanshi.

The teenage batter smashed 97 runs off just 29 balls, including 12 sixes and five fours, narrowly missing a century. He and Yashasvi Jaiswal added 125 runs for the opening wicket. Wicketkeeper-batter Dhruv Jurel also played a crucial knock, scoring a quick half-century off 21 balls, while captain Riyan Parag added 26 from 12 deliveries. For Hyderabad, Praful Hinge picked up three wickets.
