Drug addicted youths on rampage, locals hand them over to police

KOTTAYAM: Some drug addicted youths went on a rampage in Vazhur Parathottil after creating a tense situation. The locals later caught them and handed them over to the police. Jubin, Jibin, Kishore and Ajin attacked the nearby houses after consuming drugs the other day.

On the day of the incident, the four accused had reached a nearby shop after consuming drugs. A dispute broke between them and the shopkeeper. The accused then created an uproar and an atmosphere of terror in the area. The locals, seeing them arguing with the shopkeeper, intervened and tried to stop them.

After that, the youths came again in a group and threw stones at the nearby houses. Following this, the locals caught them with great difficulty. The locals then had to tie up their hands and feet. The Pallickathodu police reached the spot and took them into custody. The locals said the accused are regular troublemakers in the area.
