Malayali native dies tragically in gas cylinder explosion at Dubai car showroom

DUBAI: A Malayali died tragically in a gas cylinder explosion at a car showroom in Dubai. Shijin Paul (27), a native of Kottarakkara, Kollam, is the victim. Five people were injured in the accident. The incident took place at a car showroom on Sheikh Zayed Road in Dubai late yesterday evening.

As soon as the accident was reported, the Dubai Civil Defence team reached the spot and started rescue operations. Shijin, who was seriously injured, was admitted to the hospital, but his life could not be saved. It is reported that Shijin arrived in Dubai only eight months ago.

The authorities stated that the other injured in the accident were admitted to the hospital after being given emergency medical assistance. The rescue operations were completely over by night, and the situation is now under control.
