There is an update regarding Dulquer Salmaan’s much-awaited movie I’m Game. The makers decided to postpone the release of the movie by two weeks to September 3rd, with hopes of a wider theatrical rollout. The movie was earlier pitched as an Onam release on August 20th along with Prithviraj’s movie Khalifa.
In a statement released on social media, the producers apologised for the change in dates but wrote, “The game gets bigger. The release gets wider. This decision has been made to give I’m Game the scale, reach, and theatrical platform it truly deserves, allowing audiences across different markets to experience it on the big screen.”
The latest update means that only two films from Mollywood will be in the Onam clash. Prithviraj Sukumaran’s Khalifa and Nivin and Mamitha Baiju’s Bethlehem Kudumba Unit will reach screens on August 20th.
RDX fame Nahas Hidhayath is the director of I’m Game. This will also mark Dulquer’s return to Mollywood after three long years. The actor was last seen in the industry in King of Kotha, released on August 24, 2023, which bombed at the box office.
