CHENNAI: South Indian superstar Trisha Krishnan is reportedly taking a break from acting. The information was shared by sources close to the star. It is reported that Trisha will complete all signed projects and will take a hiatus.

There were rumours that Trisha would soon step into production and then politics. The veracity of this claim remains in question. Earlier reports were circulating that Trisha would enter politics. The actress was the chief guest at the inauguration of the TVK government led by Vijay and at the government's Independence Day celebration program held the other day.

The actress arrived at the Independence Day celebration with her mother Uma Krishnan. Trisha was seated in the front row of the stage with Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Vijay's parents, S A Chandrasekhar and Shobha Chandrasekhar. The footage of Trisha saluting Chief Minister Vijay, who was passing by in an open jeep after hoisting the national flag, also went viral on social media.

Vijay's wife, Sangeetha Sornalingam, withdrew her divorce petition on the 7th of this month. While fans were expecting the two to get back together, Trisha once again attended a Tamil Nadu government function as a VVIP. It is reported that the petition was withdrawn after Vijay's mother intervened and held discussions with Sangeetha and her family. Sangeetha appeared in court via video conference and expressed her position. Vijay was not present.
