‘Getting to do something like this with Lalettan was a super special experience’; Sanju shares selfie with Mohanlal

Indian cricketer Sanju Samson has shared a picture that has left his fans curious and excited. The star posted a selfie with actor Mohanlal on his Instagram account, along with a special note. The picture was originally posted from the account of Team Samson with the caption, ‘Something special is coming.’ Sanju then shared the post. Sanju wrote, ‘Getting to do something like this with the greatest of all time, Lalettan, was a super special experience.’

Sanju, who became the player of the series after his performances in three matches during the T20 World Cup, later played in the T20I series against England. He has been on a break since then. It is during this break that the picture with Mohanlal has surfaced. The photograph shows Sanju and Mohanlal sitting together in a vehicle.

Sanju’s IPL team, Chennai Super Kings, has also shared the picture. Recently, after a match, when Sanjay Manjrekar asked Sanju about his preferred batting position, Sanju referred to Mohanlal as an inspiration. He explained that he draws inspiration from Mohanlal in adapting to different roles in his career.

Sanju had said, ‘Recently, our Lalettan, Malayalam film actor Mohanlal, received one of the country’s biggest honours. He has been playing hero roles for 30 to 40 years. I have also been playing for the team for the last 10 years. So, I can’t say that I can play only hero roles. I want to do villain and joker roles too. Just because I have scored runs as an opener, it doesn’t mean that I am the best player in the top three. Who knows, maybe I can be a good villain too? Let me give that a try. Sanju Mohanlal Samson.’
